Matt grew up in Southeastern North Carolina, studied construction management, and worked as a project manager for a commercial construction company. With his Southern charm and love of serving the needs of others, he went on to pursue a career in real estate, and has spent the last 13 years developing a highly progressive book of business. The first time you meet Matt, his true passion for people and developing friendships is apparent. He started The Costin Group to share his road map to success and mentor and guide Brokers for longevity. Caroline joined The Costin Group back in 2018, and through Matt’s fierce mentorship, has guided her to a successful real estate career and shifted the group to a permanent duo. On his days off, he enjoys spending time with his wife Emily, and his daughter Kendall. He loves to be on the golf course, boating down the Intracoastal Waterway, and putting his grill mitts on for an old fashioned barbecue or oyster roast. With Matt, you will never have to wonder if he’s got your back, because he will make it known ten-fold with his heart of gold.

After graduating from The University of Alabama in 2016 (Roll Tide!), Caroline found her heart drawn back to Wilmington, where she spent her childhood summers at the north end of Wrightsville Beach. Now firmly rooted in the community, she has made Wilmington her permanent home. Beyond her academic achievements, Caroline has also earned her stripes as a licensed NC general contractor, showcasing her excellence in various aspects of the real estate industry. Beyond the professional realm, Caroline cherishes time with her family, husband, and two dogs, Champ and Odie, especially enjoying boat days along the coast. Her profound love for the ocean fuels her desire to educate and share that love with others through her unique use of social media marketing for the team. With Caroline, you’re getting more than a Realtor, you’re getting a new girlfriend 💞

Matt and Caroline have worked together since 2018, Caroline earned her license in May, and was already working alongside of Matt by September. This year, Matt and Caroline are celebrating their 7th full year of being The Costin Group together!
